Evan is a director and producer from the icy wilds of the midwest – and has had the great joy of creating theatre in Michigan, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Favorite recent projects include directing Venus in Fur at Atwater Village Theater and producing All;s Well That End”s Well for the Porters of Hellsgate.
Evan has been heavily influenced by his work and training with SITI Company, and and maintains a strong interest in devised work and the power of ensemble. He loves working with new stories, new voices – so send him your fun-weird-new play! He would love to read it.

Evan has three guiding principles in his work –
1. Art (and theatre) is an act of service.
Art (and theatre) by nature is an act of giving. To inform, to entertain, to challenge, to distract, to release…whatever it is, I share (sacrifice, reveal) something in and from me to make more alive something in you.

2. The text will give us everything we need
The play, the script, the story, will tell us the world we are creating – it is up to the artist to bring our own uniqueness and sacred life to it.

3. An ensemble is greater than the sum of its parts.
We create more than I. Full stop.
